Industrial Panel Solutions (IPS) is a UL-certified, full-service panel design, fabrication, integration and manufacturing factory.  We design and build state-of-the-art, scalable control panels and systems.  Our control solutions are used within a wide range of industries including but not limited to: Food Processing, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Parcel, Water/

Waste Water, Bio-Fuels & Ethanol, Oil & Gas, Power Distribution and Transmission, multiple OEMs and others.

IPS is comprised of a talented team of in-house engineers, designers, and fabricators who have years of combined experience working in the design and layout of industrial control and relay panels.  Our insider knowledge of industry standard components gives our clients the freedom to choose the relay and automation component manufacturers of their choice.

IPS is looking for an experienced Business Developer who is a self-starter, has an outgoing personality, and is capable in presenting himself or herself in a professional manner. Responsible for the sales of control panels, engineering, construction, design-build & automation to customers/clients nation-wide. Perform account management activities to build and maintain relationships with customers and act as a resource and facilitator to resolve customer service issues as they arise.

 

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively pursue profitable business
  • Rigorously follow the business development strategy/plan focused on current target market sectors
  • Qualify and pursue new business based on potential revenue, profit and timely close
  • Identify decision makers within prospective client organizations and establish meaningful contact through cold calling, emails, social networking, and meetings
  • Participate in business/social/professional organizations and events, including tradeshows, that promote or generate business relationships
  • Interface with clients, vendors, construction administrators, and project team interface with appropriate team members within IPS/EAD to pursue opportunities, review specifications, and develop and prepare proposals.
  • Develop and participate in business presentations
  • Sell the companys "total value" in terms of quality, price, delivery and service
  • Time manage and prioritize tasks to achieve results within cost and schedule constraints
  • Document/quantify results of business development activities:
    • Effectively organize and track leads;
    • Participate in regular business development meetings and coordinate activity with business development and marketing professionals
    • Submit activity (sales/revenue and projection) reports as required by Vice President of Sales and Marketing 
    • Track and promptly enter time and expenses
  • Responsible for adhering to all EADs safety standards and practices
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction or related field; and/or four years of service with the military with relevant working experience; and/or training in sales or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and other software applications
  • 3 years CRM experience required  - Deltek experience a plus
  • Technical knowledge of concepts, theories and applications for implementation of large capital projects
  • Ability to establish network of industry business contacts in various vertical markets
  • History of successfully achieving, or exceeding, sales targets or quotas
  • Excellent written verbal communication skills with Clients and in-house support staff
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Able to work efficiently and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrated independent worker requiring minimal direction
  • Possess and able to maintain a valid drivers license

 

Preferred Certifications and Skills:

  • 3 years' experience related to selling technical services
  • 3 years' experience working with manufacturing rep organizations strongly preferred
  • Deltek specific experience is a plus
  • History of successfully achieving, or exceeding, sales targets or quotas

Working Conditions:

  • Office, plant, or client site environment*
  • Ability to sit and work at computer for an extended period of time
  • Ability to walk up numerous flights of stairs/ladders multiple times a day
  • May work near moving mechanical parts and equipment*
  • Office, Commercial and/or Industrial setting with the potential of exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals*
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.*
  • Periodic weekend, holiday or evening work as needed
  • Travel required, includes both air travel and highway driving

 

*IPS will provide training, administrative/engineering controls, and personal protective equipment as necessary.
