Assistant Football Coach

 The assistant coach will assist the Head Coach in organizing, developing and administering an intercollegiate program for Football in compliance with the rules and regulations of the department, the college, the NJCAA, the ICCAC, and any other organization or association in which the department may hold membership. Will also participate in the recruitment of qualified student-athletes within the college and NJCAA guidelines.

Job Duties

Practice Planning & Execution
Assist in developing and implementing practice plans that focus on skill development, strategy, and conditioning.
On-Field Coaching
Provide instruction and guidance to players during practices and games, focusing on technique, strategy, and game execution.
Player Development
Work with individual players to improve their skills, build their confidence, and foster their growth as athletes.
Game Strategy
Assist in developing and implementing game plans, including offensive and defensive strategies, and special teams plays.
Performance Analysis
Review game film and analyze player performance to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback.
Scouting
Identify and evaluate potential players for the team, attending games and scouting events.
Recruiting
Assist with recruiting efforts, including contacting potential players, scheduling visits, and organizing recruiting events.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • Prior experience coaching and/or playing Football, preferably on the intercollegiate level.
  • Strong communication skills to enhance effective interaction with students, recruits, administrators, alumni and the community.
  • Valid driverâ??s license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with the college's Motor Vehicle policy.  
  • Must be willing to travel and be available to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as required.
  • Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.

Physical Demands

  • The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear

  • Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle.

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
