Overview

We are seeking part-time adjunct instructors for the CNA program and the CMA Program. Ideal nursing candidates are dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Registered Nurses (RN) looking to join our team of educators. The ideal instructor candidate will have a passion to help others reach their goal of starting their Health Care career and delivering a life changing educational experience.

Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Instructor Skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Nebraska or Iowa (required)
  • Prior teaching experience (preferred)
  • Supervised CNA's, CMA's currently or in the past (required)
  • Open availability is a bonus (Weekdays preferred)
  • Flexible shifts available

Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Instructor Duties

  • Initiate, facilitate and moderate classroom lecture and discussion through critical thinking healthcare theory
  • Follow syllabus, providing feedback as necessary
  • Discussing and physically demonstrating required hands-on skills
  • Evaluating student’s clinical skills, class work and assignments.
  • Checking off on student’s skills competency in the CNA program and/or CMA program
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels-written, verbal, presentation modalities and comfort educating/providing staff resources and support
  • Collaborating with colleagues to address teaching, curricula, course content, course materials and methods of instruction
  • Ability to identify students who are having difficulty with the material and provide a different learning approach to help them better comprehend the material.
  • Must be able to work independently
