Are you a Gastroenterologist seeking a locum tenens opportunity near Whitman, WV? We have an exciting long-term position available starting from 07/01/2024 for a duration of 13 months. Here are the details:

• Availability: Please provide your availability upfront. A clean background is a must.
• Specialty: Gastroenterology
• Start Date: 07/01/2024
• Contract Length: 12 months
• Shift Details: You'll work on a 7 on 7 off schedule, from 7 AM to 7 PM, providing coverage for 30 days. There are options for 7 on 7 off or 14 on 14 off. We prefer a commitment for one week at a time so that we can plan our internal schedule accordingly.
• Work Details:
  • Support staff: NPs Monday Friday
  • Amount of coverage needed per month: 30 days 3 providers needed
  • Patients per day: The consult volume varies, with an average of 25 patients per day
  • Patient population/age: You'll serve a rural population with high acuity GI service division. Multiple pathologies are encountered, and patients are adults aged 18 and above
  • Department description: Inpatient GI coverage is required, including consultations and procedures. You'll manage one of two teams, with the second team being the GI teaching service. A third position will cover 7 on, alternating with current faculty, totaling 3 locum needs.
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Special procedures: You'll perform EGD, colonoscopy, and non-advanced procedures.
  • Skills required: Routine GI procedures
• Practice Setting: Hospital

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

• Board Certification: You should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• License required: You must be licensed in WV
• DEA: Yes
• Certifications required: ACLS
• Minimum experience required: Not specified
