Summary You will be a hands-on technologist responsible for leading a division that manages all aspects of the Office of Information Technology's operations, including end user equipment and support, records management, administrative support, change control, and communications planning and delivery. You will regularly develop and communicate strategies to senior management and directly supervise a team of professionals to execute these plans.

Duties As the Associate Director for OIT Operations Division, you will:
- Make recommendations on strategies and new capabilities for user support, equipment, internal processes, and communications planning, including the development and execution of project plans.
- Supervise a staff of information technology specialists supporting agency end users, including Tier 1 support, records management, and OIT communications.
- Supervise FCA's Change Control Board, including identifying issues and implementing appropriate process improvements.
- Assign staff to projects and provide oversight in the development and execution of project plans.
- Develop and maintain communications plans for Office of Information Technology activities, including project intake, major project updates, and OIT Information Resource Management Plans.
- Manage contracts and vendors for support of our operational infrastructure.
- Provide written analysis and oral presentations, along with recommendations, on potential capability enhancements, new technologies, technology equipment deployment, and records management.
Requirements Conditions of Employment - Must be a U.S. citizen.
- One year supervisory or managerial probationary period, unless previously served.

- You must be a current FCA career or career conditional competitive service employee.
Qualifications You may qualify at the VH-41 (GS-15) band level if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the VH-40 (GS-14) band level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Such experience may include:
- Skill working with technology operations;
- Experience developing and executing strategies for technology operations, including deployment of enterprise-wide technology, end user support, and communications.
- Experience in operational technologies, including ticketing systems, end user equipment, and change control processes;
- Experience supervising a team of Information Technology specialists; or
- Experience developing and executing strategies for operational solutions and improvements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
