Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Document & Records Analyst II or I located at Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, Nebraska.  Position closes January 5, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. This position will report to the Administrative Services Superintendent.

Position Summary

Incumbent conducts broad-based regulatory-driven functions such as processing and distributing station procedures, drawing revisions, archiving, and indexing quality records. Duties follow diverse procedures and specialized standards. Requires independent judgement to establish priorities or alter work practices to meet commitments or deadlines. Customer service skills required for assisting site workers with retrieval of historical record information and procedure, controlled document and drawing distribution process. This position is part of an Appendix B program that is audited every two years by NIOS for regulatory compliance to maintain site records and program effectiveness. Meets Fitness for Duty requirements. Subject to call and supporting the Emergency Response Organization.

Education, Training and Experience

Document & Records Analyst II

Four-year degree or two-year degree is preferred

High School degree/GED with a minimum of two years relevant experience.

Document & Records Analyst I

Four-year degree or two-year degree with a minimum of two years relevant experience.

OR

High school degree/GED with a minimum of four years relevant experience.

Candidate shall have performed satisfactorily for 1 year in the Document & Records Analyst II role at CNS to advance from Document & Records Analyst II to Document & Records Analyst I. Shall be experienced in working independently and fulfilled working through at minimum one Refueling Outage in the Administrative Services department.

 

Prior related experience:

Experience using computer technology and understanding desktop applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe, SAP) is required

Strong customer service to ensure that those needing department support are assisted or directed to the appropriate staff

Strong attention to detail

Licenses and/or Certifications

Valid driver’s license for mail duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Receives and prepare records for processing. Maintain and understand the CNS Records Retention Schedule to ensure proper record storage and retention.

Maintains Records Storage Facility to ensure records are logged into and stored into the correct location. Inspections for loose records, condensation, and pest control.

Provide records and controlled document assistance to CNS staff for record and document submittals and retrieval.

Process procedures by assigning an effective date, placing them in the controlled R: CNSPROCS directory, merging procedure files for electronic transfer to the archive writer. Copy procedure(s) to update controlled set in Document Control and make electronic distribution via transmittals to controlled set holders.

Print drawing transmittals, distribute drawings to controlled set holders, file drawing revisions in the Control Room, Work Control Center, and Engineering Fishbowl. Update controlled set of drawing aperture cards.

Mail distribution on a rotation schedule by staff to stamp and deliver mail to the Post Office in Brownville. Staff will pick up all mail and return to the mailroom to sort and distribute to department mail slots.

ERO – support assigned ERO duties to ensure the Health and Safety of the Public are protected.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers and General Office teammates on department cost savings, training of equipment health and reliability of microfilm readers and scanners, indexing & Records quality.

Document & Records Analyst I, Non-Exempt Pay Grade 8:  $3,944 to $5,719 Monthly
