Supervisor of Human Resources (HR)

We have a career opportunity for a Supervisor of Human Resources (HR). The Supervisor of HR is responsible for managing American Laboratories’ (ALI) HR employee relations, benefit administration and recruitment.

This position will be located in Omaha, NE, working with different levels of management and personnel within each department.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support all facets of personnel situations but not limited to the following:
    • Recruitment, onboarding, and retention
      • i) Maintaining job postings
      • ii) Working with hiring managers on scheduling interviews and candidate screening process
      • iii) Ensuring background checks and pre-employment screenings are completed
      • iv) Working with staffing agencies and negotiating contracts
  • Provide initial training and support ongoing required personnel training
  • Processing and administering personnel records while complying with all regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining and updating personnel files
  • Performing internal investigations as warranted
  • Assisting staff managers with personnel situations including discipline process, actions and terminations
  • Reconciling and approving invoices for insurance and agency payments
  • Updating and maintaining information databases including ADP and carrier sites
  • Maintaining and approving job descriptions
  • Implementing and monitoring performance reviews
  • Oversee and train HR employees as needed
  • As the workload demand changes for the departments, additional responsibilities may be required

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in a HR related field OR applicable experience in HR with a High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years related administrative experience, preferred
  • 5+ years in a customer or employee service-related role, preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility to handle changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize information and present it to peers, customers, and members of Senior Management

General Work Environment:

  • Various facilities within and outside of ALI
  • Office, laboratory, processing floor, warehouse and other, as necessary

Job Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or move throughout the facilities for extended periods of time, as necessary
  • Must be willing to work weekends, as necessary
  • Must be able to work independently, as necessary
