Manager of Research & Development (R&D)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager of R&D to lead and manage research and development efforts focused on product optimization, troubleshooting, and process improvements within our company.

This position will be located in Omaha, NE, working onsite with different management levels and support personnel in other office locations.

The Impact You Will Have:
As the Manager of R&D, you will play a critical role in overseeing and driving R&D efforts. You will be responsible for:

• Leading troubleshooting efforts for operational and processing issues by performing lab-scale processing and conducting data analytics reviews.
• Supporting the development of new products and the optimization of current products for both internal and external production.
• Assisting in the creation and execution of Installation, Operational, Process Qualification, and Process Validation (IQ, OQ, PQ, PV) protocols, as well as developing summary reports.
• Updating and approving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
• Supporting risk assessments and implementing the improvements identified through those assessments.

What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for an experienced R&D professional with a solid background in the animal health or products industry. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and leadership skills. Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least five (5) years of experience in an USDA and/or FDA regulated industry, or a Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an USDA and/or FDA regulated industry (preferred).
• At least one (1) year of experience in qualification/validation processes.
• Experience with filtering and purification processing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US FDA 21 CFR Part 117 cGMP requirements and industry best practices.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members.
• Proficiency in Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other basic computer skills.
