CNA COURSE INSTRUCTOR

Essential Functions:

• Initiate, facilitate and moderate classroom lecture and discussion through critical thinking healthcare theory
• Follow syllabus, providing feedback as necessary
• Discussing and physically demonstrating required hands-on skills
• Evaluating student’s clinical skills, class work and assignments.
• Checking off on student’s competency of C.N.A and C.M.A skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels-written, verbal, presentation modalities and comfort educating/providing staff resources and support
• Collaborating with colleagues to address teaching, curricula, course content, course materials and methods of instruction
• Ability to identify students who are having difficulty with the material and provide a different learning approach to help them better comprehend the material.
• Must be able to work independently

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse or LPN (Nebraska or Iowa) (required)
• Supervised CNA’s currently or in the past (required)
• Licensed RN or LPN for at least 1-year (required)
• Prior teaching experience (preferred)
• Open availability is a bonus (Classes are held days and weekends)
• Willing to work at least 15 hours a month (may vary)

Hourly: 

• Part-time; $24.00 – $25.00 per hour

License/Certification:

• Unencumbered NE RN or LPN license (Required)
