POSITION SUMMARY:

This position, reporting to the Manager, Business Controls/Area Controller, will be responsible for managing and executing activities such as: the review and analysis of control issues, assisting with presentations made to Senior Management, segregation of duties, performing controls testing, special projects and other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Administer and review corporate/agency controls documentation
  • Monitor the worldwide number of agencies In Scope in internal database
  • Track progress and review reports identifying any control issues
  • Record all necessary corporate control issues and work with issue owners to remediate and close issues
  • Track agencies progress towards completing Vantage SOD Assessments and SOD Forms
  • Identify risks for the key accounting functions we document on the SOD form
  • Create standard library of mitigating controls when SOD conflicts exist
  • Create test steps and guidance for testing mitigating controls
  • Execute agency and regional controls that can be tested remotely from corporate
  • Lead and/or assist in special projects on an as needed basis

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working towards a bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Strong communications (written & verbal) and analytic skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organized
  • Highly motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Microsoft office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

NYC SALARY RANGE: 

The hourly range for this position is $17 to $19. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee s/applicant s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
