If you are looking for a place where you can make a difference in the life of a child, Project Harmony is looking for you.  We are seeking an experienced and committed Community Impact Coordinator to join our dynamic and innovative organization.   The Community Impact Coordinator is responsible for supporting Project Harmony initiatives, fostering meaningful connections between Project Harmony and the community, focusing on building strong relationships with volunteers, local partners, and service providers. This role will be responsible for assist the director in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Project Harmony's Missing and Anti-Trafficking Youth Services (MATYS) Initiative, as well as future community-based projects that align to the organization's mission. The coordinator must possess a high level of passion for social justice, community empowerment, youth engagement, and the organization’s mission.  

 

This position requires strategic thinking to identify opportunities for growth and collaboration, evaluate project outcomes, and implement best practices. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, the Community Impact Coordinator will ensure agency initiatives are inclusive, effective, and aligned with Project Harmony’s goals, inspiring individuals and groups to actively support children and families in the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the oversight, planning, execution, and evaluation of our MATYS Initiative, as well as other community-based projects as needed
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including local governments, nonprofit organizations, volunteers and key stakeholders
  • Foster a culture of inclusion and engagement among community members that promotes innovation, accountability, and excellence
  • Facilitate and manage coordination of Youth Advisory Board activities
  • Oversee MATYS Program donations, maintain inventory and assist in obtaining needed resources
  • Respond to community inquiries related to the Youth Anti-trafficking initiative
  • Lead and coordinate volunteer opportunities to assist in meeting the needs identified through the anti-trafficking initiative
  • Represent the organization at community events, coalitions, and meetings to advocate for program services and expand community outreach
  • Ensure the project meets the needs of the target population and aligns with the organization's strategic goals
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships and outreach that can enhance program delivery, and increase impact and community awareness
  • Create and maintain a robust resource site to meet the needs of the project initiative
  • Develop and track project data and outcomes
  • Regularly assess project performance using data to evaluate effectiveness and improve community initiatives
  • Stay informed of best practices and trends in the nonprofit and community services sector, incorporating them into project design and delivery
  • Must practice a flexible work schedule, to include occasional evenings and weekends, to be available for community and initiative-related events
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director - Community Impact

 

 

Requirements

Qualifications

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in social work, public relations, public administration, or related field

Experience and Training

  • 3+ years’ experience in community engagement and advocacy work
  • Experience in delivering public presentations

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy while adhering to deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent active listening, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of accountability
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to stressful and ever-changing situations
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to effectively deal with and resolve conflict
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse community stakeholders
  • Experience with data analysis tools and program evaluation

 

Other

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours
  • Must submit to a thorough criminal history background check
  • Must have access to a vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Position may involve some travel, primarily within the state
