City of Gering
The City of Gering, Nebraska, population 7,751, was founded in 1887 and is just east of Scotts Bluff National Monument, a well-known landmark on the Oregon Trail. Gering is located in Western Nebraska’s Scotts Bluff County, just 40 miles north of I-80. It is centrally located between the Colorado Front Range, Yellowstone National Park and Mount Rushmore.
