Essential Functions

  • Recruiting
  • New Hire and onboarding duties.
  • Expertly and efficiently resolve employee payroll and benefit inquiries.
  • Ensure all internal/external inquiries are responded to and resolved accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Process, audit, and maintain benefits administration systems.
  • Assist with processing biweekly and off-cycle payroll.
  • Scan, file, and maintain employee documents.
  • Audit activities including new hires, termination notifications and changes in coverage.
  • Process Leave Of Absence changes.
  • Accurately record or document, retain and file details of all employee discussions and transactions in employee personnel files.
  • Effectively partner with benefit carrier representatives to swiftly resolve outstanding employee services issues.
  • Review monthly carrier invoicing for accuracy prior to submission to Accounting for reconciliation.
  • Performs tasks to establish and maintain employee/payroll records.
  • Maintaining and auditing timekeeping and attendance records.
  • Post changes in pay and tax status.
  • All other miscellaneous and routine functions related to human resources, payroll, or benefits. 

Skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional problem-resolution, attention to detail, project management, follow-through, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Passion for providing exceptional service, both internally and externally, in-person, via phone, and in writing
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Able to adapt to change, take initiative, manage time effectively and cope with stressful situations

Experience

  • Minimum three years of experience working with employees in an employee Human Resources, Payroll, or Benefits capacity. 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Recruiting, including resume vetting and interviewing.
  • Knowledge of employment benefits and eligibility processing, both company paid and voluntary benefits
  • Demonstrated ability to handle documents with confidentiality and security
  • Thrives within a customer service focused environment
  • Comfortable with learning new computer software and internet-based applications
  • Excels as part of a cooperative, dynamic team, displaying a positive attitude and a desire to “solve for yes” and provide win-win solutions
