The Silicon Prairie Awards is back for its 4th year, and is shaping up to be a great night for the tech and entrepreneurial community across the Midwest.

“The event is always a great opportunity for startup community leaders, feeders and supporters to get together and celebrate the big accomplishments from the year that help shape the startup scene across the region,” said Ryan Pendell, Managing Editor, Silicon Prairie News.

This year the event will take place on October 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Last Week SPN announced Co-Founder and CEO of the Dallas Entrepreneur Center Trey Bowles will be the keynote speaker for the event. According to SPN:

“Bowles has spent his career starting and building companies in both the for-profit and non-profit space with an expertise in strategy, operations and marketing. Bowles has held key leadership roles in the industries of music, entertainment and disruptive technology including running the popular peer-to-peer file-sharing site Morpheus. He most recently led the turn-around and sale of Big Jump Media Inc. to Salem Communications in 2010.”
