Each year draws closer to high school graduation, the college campus and a career. Do students and parents feel prepared for the journey?
Students and families from AIM’s College and Career school-based programs took part in a special, exploratory adventure on Sunday, October 20th by visiting the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s campus and participating in the Midwest’s largest College Fair, sponsored by Education Quest Foundation.
Over 200 college, career, & military representatives from across the state, region and nation, converge for this annual event to answer questions and provide recruitment and informational materials about their schools.
The buses rolled and 67 attendees, including students, parents, school staff, and education staff from AIM’s college and career preparation programs from Omaha and Council Bluffs high schools learned about:
Admission requirements and deadlines
Academic programs that meet student interests
Cost of tuition and fees — and room and board
Application for college-based scholarships
Number of students attending the school
Dorm and housing options
