Here at AIM, we do a lot to help empower people–and communities–through technology.
One of our primary tools for empowering both people and employers is AIM Careerlink, an online job board for connecting job seekers with strong, verified employers. But on top of the many features that we offer to employers through AIM Careerlink, we’re also heavily involved in offline action to help create real-life educational and networking opportunities.
Those real-world opportunities come in the form of AIM events, and we have a few really good ones coming up on our calendar. They provide value for anyone interested in the subjects we’re covering (whether you’re an employer, job seeker, or employee), and we recommend attending as many events as you can.
Here are 3 must-see AIM events happening within the next month or so:
- AIM Speak Easy, September 26th, 4:00-5:30PM
Our series of Speak Easies (powered by Straight Shot) feature national speakers, enterprise IT experts and SaaS startups that are part of the Straight Shot startup accelerator program. Next week’s Speak Easy will feature Johnson Cook, co-founder and partner of Atlanta Tech Village, and Jon Jensen, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at PS Technology, in addition to 3-minute pitches from CardioSys and Business Exchange. You can register here.
- Demo Day, October 3rd, 6:00-9:00PM
Another project in conjunction with Straight Shot, Demo Day is “Shark Tank” inspired and features Dave Knox of The Brandery, Blair Garrou of the Mercury Fund and Kelly Hoey of Women Innovate Mobile, among others. Seating is limited, but you can register here for a chance to see startups from around the globe make their pitches to the “Sharks.”
- Broadband Connecting Nebraska Conference, October 16th-17th
The BCNC is going to be a great opportunity for individuals of all occupations. It’s really for anyone who uses IT–whether for finding a job candidate, running a business efficiently, or improving your market using IT, this conference has something for you. Register here for the conference so that you can explore the potential of broadband technologies to promote economic and community growth.
As you can see, our upcoming events cover a wide variety of topics for a range of audiences. Whether you’re an IT professional looking to find your next qualified candidate for a job opening, an entrepreneur looking for advice on how to help your business succeed, or you’re just looking to learn more about Omaha’s tech community, we have something for you.
On top of the events you see here, we also have a calendar packed with lots of weekly events, as well as a number of annual conferences and events with locations all across the U.S. Feel free to check them out if you’re looking to learn more.
