Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and direct the operations involved in the implementation, support, and monitoring of shared infrastructure environments to meet corporate and business needs to include service delivery, technical support, deployment, administration, hardware management, process management and other related technical functions utilizing a variety of resources
  • Oversee customization of Enterprise Telecommunications and Networking (ETN) environments to ensure the infrastructure meets the customer requirements while adhering to established policies, procedures, and deadlines
  • Develop and implement strategic plans in order to proactively enhance the department's ability to meet the technical needs of new and existing clients
  • Consult with senior technical staff to determine feasibility of all assigned special project objectives as it relates to requirements
  • Understand and support approved corporate and departmental policies and procedures relating to business procedures, philosophies, and conduct ensuring communications and acceptance by staff
  • Verbal and written skills with a focus on writing client presentable root cause analysis and reason for outage documents
  • Vendor management experience to include contract and pricing negotiations associated to equipment maintenance and contractor services
  • Experience supporting multilingual, multi regional employees in a follow the sun support model


  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university required with major course work in computer science, MIS, electrical engineering, business, or a related field is required
  • Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for education requirements
  • Minimum five years of increasingly responsible management experience in MIS engineering or computer science required
  • Minimum of three years supervisor experience required

Knowledge of the following may be required:
  • Switches, routers, CSU/DSU
  • VoIP network operations
  • Layers 1-4 design including a thorough understanding of L1-4 data and voice protocols
  • ISP/Carrier, WAN/LAN, and Long Haul TDM operations
  • VoIP call center infrastructure
  • Avaya S8700, and Cisco router operation
  • ISDN engineering (both BRI and PRI)
  • Understanding and knowledge of ACI
Telecommunications transmission systems:
  • DS1 and DS3 test practices and equipment
  • Telecommunications cabling systems and equipment, such as DS0, DS1, DS3, OC12, FastE and GIGE Ethernet as well as fiber
  • Avaya ACD and associated products
  • Voice-over IP equipment and technologies
  • Service Provider MPLS, LDP and VRFs
  • BGP including AS and Community tags
  • Load balancers with a focus on F5 LTM and GTM
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and Access required
  • Ability to be on call 24 x7 and respond to text messages within 15 minutes
