General Position Summary

Contributes to the efficient, profitable, and productive operations of the company by assisting in the planning, coordinating, designing, and implementing security measures to safeguard information and systems against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure.  Administers various security aspects of company systems and user IDs to include permissions, access rights, creation, deletion, and modifications; thoroughly documents security procedures and ensures awareness.

We are searching for a Security Specialist or Security Systems Engineer to join our team and assist in designing and implementing security measures to safeguard WoodmenLifes infrastructure.

As a fast-paced role with lots of exposure to different sides of the technical universe, this position springboards you into the world of security and other IT opportunities.

 

WHAT YOULL DO:

  • Administer all company systems IDs and user IDs which includes creation, deletion, modification, resets, permissions and access rights, abiding by company security practice and procedures.
  • Review weekly security violation reports and daily security reports and respond accordingly.
  • Document new or updated security procedures thoroughly; actively work with other business units to ensure awareness of security and policy changes.
  • Assess and report upon impact and ramifications of proposed security changes.
  • Assist with go-live support when implementing new applications/modules/functionality and serve as primary point of contact for security maintenance/support and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate security risks to business partners and staff as needed.
  • Develop and oversee test plans for security enhancements.
  • Develop, unit test, and maintain Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application-based security roles utilizing structural authorizations and portal security roles for all ERP modules and or related Infor/ERP vendor products supported by the company.
  • Analyze business impact and exposure based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
  • Recognize and identify potential areas where data security policies and procedures need to be developed or changed due to business changes or future business expansion.
  • Support other administrative security functions on other company supported systems as needed.

 

Specific to Security Systems Engineer:

  • Design, develop, implement, and continuously support the entire suite of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application modules including but not limited to: HRMS, Financials, Procurement, Business Intelligence, Landmark Administration/Security, Portal Administration, and Self-Service modules.  Abides by company security practice and procedures.
  • Support, maintain, upgrade, and configure server hardware, operating systems, and server applications.
  • Work as System Administrator when needed to support Security Administration software including upgrades and fixes.
  • Administer and configure Infor/Lawson Security (LSF 10 or newer), Infor/Lawson with ISS, LBI Administration and Security.  Design and configure Landmark Security.

 

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:

  • Associates degree in Information Technology or security related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Active Directory Integration.
  • Strong desire to continue to grow professional skills and abilities.
  • Knowledge in Infor/Lawson vendor products MHC and AVAAP for security configuration and Reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of information security principles and practices.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated drive to accomplish great things; ability to see things differently and to present new ideas in a friendly, positive manner.
  • Willing to create and/or reengineer processes to help provide the highest quality product and services.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to master new technology and continually acquire new skills while retaining present skills.
  • Engages well with others and are passionate about providing an exemplary customer experience.

 

WHAT WED LOVE TO SEE:

  • Working experience with Lawsons HRIS, ESS/MSS, Procurement, Financials, Business Intelligence, Portal Security & Role Management.
  • Infor/Lawson 2+ years of experience in ISS, Landmark Security Design/Configuration, LBI Administration and Security configuration.
  • Working experience with server platforms such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows, AIX, Linux, or z/OS.
  • Working experience with VMware vSphere.
