POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for on-the-job training to new and existing associates to include the training of changes/updates to job procedures in their area.  Evaluates progress of a trainee and provides updates to the Production Supervisor and Learning Facilitator. (This job description applies to Production Trainers in Suitability & Replacement, Indexing & Cert. Packaging, Underwriting, H&D, Med Fees, Contract Services, Settlement Options, and Life Claims    

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform on-the-job training for new and existing associates, evaluate progress against a standard and recommend release from training when associate reaches the standard.
  • Report training progress to Production Supervisor and Learning Facilitator and provide updates to Learning Facilitator related to the maintenance of training records for each associate.
  • Notify Learning Facilitator of changes to job duties, approve the changes and present changes/updates in job procedures to production associates within the OKB.
  • Assist in identifying performance deficiencies that could be improved with additional training.  Work closely with the auditing area to develop and update auditing procedures for the area.
  • Complete production responsibilities whenever not participating in training related responsibilities. This includes, but not limited to, reviewing conversion applications and also various other after issue changes on existing business.  Determine if transactions are allowed through analysis of forms received and product specifications of a diverse amount of product types.  Will be required to have in depth knowledge of product lines and available certificate changes based on product limitations, rules and state regulations.  Will be required to communicate with the Sales Force for more clarification and/or recommend alternative options based on contract language, specifications and product limitations.
  • Serve as Contract Services SME on company-wide projects (in particular the E-App for Conversion and After Issue Changes and PAS Teams) or department needs and provide support for the area, to include the Field. This would include:  Research, reviewing specifications, gap analysis, requirements, building test cases and UAT testing, development of processes and procedures needed for roll-out and integration with other systems.
  • Continually reviews and analyzes the workflow to provide efficient service and meet service level goals.  Makes recommendations for changes that enhance the process and improve customer service.
  • Adheres to Core Operation’s Behavioral Standards including focusing on solutions, being open to feedback and dialogue, taking initiative, and be involved and accountable.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Perform user acceptance testing on new products and share new information with the team.
  • Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality in accordance with the expectations established by your supervisor and WoodmenLife policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Ability to work overtime as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education/experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in processing Contract Services Conversions and After Issue Changes       
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WoodmenLife products. Possesses in-depth knowledge of policies and procedures for area.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, sensitivity and professionalism
  • Ability to analyze and adapt training methods for individual learning
  • Strong reading skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with training preferred
  • Proficiency in job duties they would train
  • Desire to train
  • Demonstrate flexibility in transitioning between training and production work
  • Willingness and demonstrated ability to share knowledge with other team members
  • The ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive and resourceful (S.T.A.R.) customer service.
  • Engages well with others and are passionate about providing an exemplary customer experience.
