Intern needed to work at WoodmenLife!
*Remote work-The safety of our associates is WoodmenLife’s top priority. At this time, a majority of our associates are working remotely due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home in a dedicated work area with the appropriate wired internet. As WoodmenLife determines it is safe for associates to return to the home office, candidate may be required to work in the home office in Omaha, NE.
This is a paid internship that may lead into future opportunities with WoodmenLife.
Commitment: 35-40 hours per week

We are currently searching for a recent college graduate for an intern position to join our human resources department before the end of the year. This is a new and exciting position for our team. You will be working in a creative, fast paced and professional setting. The internship training provides the chance to gain knowledge in the human resources area, but could apply to many other fields. In this role you will help human resources support our sales team in our recruiting efforts.
What we are looking for:
- Work in Human Resources to assist the sales team in developing a strategy to build a pipeline of talent.
- Able to connect and screen sales professionals using all types of communications (phone, text, and email).
- Extreme familiarity with social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc)
- Had a GPA of 3.5 or above (preferred)
- Be a strategic thinker
- Have attention-to-detail
- Show initiative, self-starter, highly motivated
- Experience with MS Office (especially Word and Excel)
- The desire to be a part of the culture that is WoodmenLife
- Past internship experience in Human Resources, Marketing, PR, or Communications (preferred)
- Have strong WiFi, as you will be working from home
