The main purpose of this position is to ensure that company driver payroll and owner operator settlement process deadlines are met weekly.
Supervise daily processing of trip information to pay drivers, as well as monthly and annual bonus programs.
Supervise all ancillary payroll duties such as garnishments, stop payments, and division transfers,
Participate in process improvements to create greater efficiency and higher driver satisfaction, order supplies for the department, and maintain vendor relationships.
Responsible for Canadian payroll.
Responsible for printing and mailing driver checks and direct deposit statements.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.
This position requires the supervision of fifteen employees within the Driver Payroll department.
This position is exposed to confidential information such as payroll numbers, addresses, social security numbers, and wage information on a daily basis.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance or Management with Business and Tax Law classes preferred, or equivalent experience.
Three to four years experience with payroll procedures such as tax laws, garnishments, and regulations preferred.
One to two years experience in operating a personal computer. Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, or WordPerfect preferred.
One to two years supervisory experience preferred.
Strong communication, management and leadership skills.
