           Quality Assurance Supervisor

A Brief Summary of This Position:

The core mission of this position is to maintain the effectiveness of the company Quality Control programs to the highest possible degree of Quality. Supervises and implements programs and procedures to ensure that all internally developed and services meet all company standards and requirements. Responsible for overseeing Reports to upper level Quality Assurance Management: Manager and Senior Manager Quality Assurance. Preferred Bachelors with 6+ years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 8+ years relevant experience or 10+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities
Performs 100% Visual Inspection of Welds in Final Structural Steel Elements
Reports Directly to Quality Manager about any Quality Deficiencies in in process and final inspection
Tracks the Quality Deficiencies per Weld
Reports Directly to Quality Supervisor about mistakes or welding problems and Tracks the Daily Information
Ensures Supervisors and Employees understand and adhere the Quality Control Program
Receives Instructions from Quality Manager or Quality Supervisor about Project Specific Inspection and Test and Perform those tasks
Monitor shop Activities to ensure conformance with applicable Codes, Standards, Policies, Procedures and/or Drawings Specifications
Reviews and Assists in product complaint investigations and assists Supervisors with investigations
Perform inspections on projects requiring expertise and knowledge under the direct supervision of the Quality Manager
Maintains Equipment operation and Calibration
Assists Quality Manager and Quality Supervisor with Welders Qualifications

Qualifications
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have the ability to multi-task in a manufacturing environment to meet production demands.
Experience with Evaluation related to Quality and Codes issues.
Proficient in the use of Inspection Tools and Measuring Equipment such as Tape Measure, Square, and Micrometer.
Read and Interpret blueprints
Experience as a Welding Inspector or as a Qualified Welder
Certified as a Welding Inspector or an ASNT / ASME Visual Level II

Level II Ultrasonic Testing and Level II is a plus
Able to achieve a Non Destructive Testing training as a Level 1 and 2 in Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particles and Visual Inspection of Welds and Steel.
Experience in GMAW process

Experience in Inspection using AWS D1.1 Welding Code
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook

Ability to calculate figures and amounts including proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume for product and the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry is preferred

Ability to Work well in a Team oriented environment
