The Senior Architect Quote to Cash and CoE Lead will function as a key leader of the functional center of excellence as new technologies emerge and existing systems evolve to better serve Valmontâ??s internal and external stakeholders. The key responsibility will be to help Valmont improve operational efficiency, maintain balance sheet integrity, cut time to close and safeguard compliance and regulatory requirements. Candidate will be responsible for defining and designing best in class processes for our Digital business platform on SAP S/4HANA, perform feasibility analysis and manage a team of Quote to Cash analysts.Â
Essential Functions:
- This position reports into the Integration Director and will have direct reports
- This role requires up to 25 to 50% travel (internationally/domestically), including overnight stays
- Partner with business to analyze and solve complex commercial problems
- Drive new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures
- Understand and align with the strategic direction set by executives, clearly communicate team goals, deliverables, and keep the team updated on change
- Coordinate process improvement discussions with business leaders
- Interact with peers and/or management levels to define functional strategies
- Collaborate with the Global Value Stream Owners and Solution Design Leads as they support QTC rollout and assess localization requirements of the ERP solution to in-scope business units
- Support timely decision-making and manage escalations for operational decisions
- Actively engage and educate business process owners on solution optimization, simplification, and standardization capabilities
- Coordinate set up of functional center of excellence around QTC and LE processes
- Collaborate with relevant scrum, delivery, deployment, and project leadership teams to implement and deploy agile methodology
- Work closely and collaborate with onshore and offshore scrum team members to ensure a prioritized and sufficient product backlog for the team
- Participate in key Sprint planning, retrospectives, and other key ceremonies for global initiatives across technology platforms
- Along with scrum team identify, monitor, and implement key agreed-upon improvements
- Map / define of MM Organizational Elements, Key data structure, Master data Configuration of MM Organizational Elements
- Setup tolerance limits for invoice verification, and processed verification, block, release of invoices
- Issue / Status Tracking - Provides weekly updates and escalates critical issues to Team and Project management in a timely manner
- Lead and influence resources that impact success, including management of and delegating tasks to resolve issues to other teams/individuals when necessary
- Lead and support Supply Chain pursuits and Practice Development initiatives
- Develop external eminence across the sub-capabilities in Supply Chain
What it takes:
- Preferred Bachelor's with 7+ years of relevant experience or Associateâ??s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience or 11+ years of relevant experience
- Seven years+ of experience as SAP SD Lead/ Architect/ Techno functional consultant/ Business Analyst with Five full life cycle implementations covering business requirements gathering, blueprinting, Gap analysis to convert As Is to To Be system
- Seven years+ of experience configuring, deploying, and managing ERP projects across Quote to Cash
- Previous leadership role on ERP implementations
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Strong influencing, facilitating, and consulting skills in working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and across departments
- Experience in working on implementations using ASAP methodology and Agile Methodology
- Experience in SAP SD, VERTEX, GTS, CS, LE, EDI
- Experienced in configuring several Order to Cash (OTC) Life Cycles, procure to Pay (P2P) Life Cycles
- Expertise in Enterprise Structure definition & assignment, creating Customer Master data, Material Master data, Customer â?? Material Records and Vendor Master data
- Experienced in configuring Sales Document types, Item categories, Schedule Line categories, procure to Pay, Order Processing, Contracts Management, Customer EDI, Shipping, Billing, labeling, and maintaining Copy control for Sales Documents
- Proficient in customization of pricing in SD by defining Pricing Procedures, using Condition Table, Condition Types (Freight, Taxes, discount, and Special Prices) and Access Sequence
- Configured Various Billing types, which include delivery and order related invoices, credit and debit memos, and cancellations of billing documents, Inter Company Billing and Third-party process
- Experience in working on Document Types including special order types, Quotes, Contracts, Pricing, Billing, Order Management (OM), Contract Management, Availability Check, Credit Management, Rebate processing, Deliveries, Revenue Recognition, LIS, Batch Management, Picking, Packing, Shipping and Sales Information Structures, Scheduling Agreements and Forward Scheduling and Backward Scheduling with GATP
- Experience in requirements gathering, blueprinting, analysis, testing, configuration, and implementation
- Experience in Special Sales Scenarios Viz., Third party Order, Consignment Sale, Returns, and Stock Transfers as per business need
- Experience in QTC Data Conversion/ Data Migration Projects
- Experience in configuring Revenue Account Determinations using dependencies for revenue account determination and assigning Account Keys and G/L accounts
- Experienced in Shipping Point Determination, Shipments, and Transportation Planning Systems and Logistics Execution functions like Picking, Packing, Goods Issue and Receipt
- Configured Route Determination using Modes of Transport, Shipment Types, Shipping Point, Routes, Transportation Connection Points and Transportation zones and Transportation Group
- Experience in Variant Configuration, Bill of Materials (BOM) and Batch Management
- Strong understanding and experience in cross-functional applications of SD with FI, LE, WM/IM, PP and MM in business scenarios
- Experience with Idoc/ALE (Outbound/ Inbound), Interfaces, User Exits and BAPI Development
- Excellent understanding of ABAP program and experience in debugging
- GTS Module experience with Compliance and Customs Management SPL Screening, Embargo, License Management in Compliance management. Good Understanding in Product Classification, Legal Regulations, ECCN, Schedule-B and HTS numbering, Customs Export Declarations.
- Experience with P2P (Procure-to-Pay) process, Inventory process, Goods Movements, Cross Company, and Intra-company Stock Transport orders using Stock Transport order (STO), Third Party Orders, Material document of Goods Receipt, adopted stock transfer techniques to assist in plant-to-plant stock transfers and cross company stock transfers using Stock Transport Order
- Extensive worked with SAP CRM Basis Customizing Status profile, Data Profile, Organization profile, Partner profile, Text profile and Action Profile, Worked on extensively Data flow between SAP ECC to SAP CRM system like Customers, Material, and Sales
- Confident communicator with good Team Management, Problem solving Skills and extensive experience in client interaction
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Possess :
- Master's degree
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA 1809 or above
- Strong understanding of Quote to Cash processes and integration with RTR and PTP functions
Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
Work is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. Extensive travel may be required to sites within the U. S. and possible international travel. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests.
