A Brief Summary of This Position:

The Senior Project Manager - Operations will direct project teams and run multiple complex projects from creation to completion. Responsibilities include directing and coordinating all resources throughout the lifecycle of the projects by using management techniques to achieve predetermined goals of scope, quality, time, cost, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for daily coordination of the project and act as the communications link between the project teams and Program Leaders. You will complete projects with accuracy while monitoring project performance and meeting expectations.

Essential Functions:

  • You will report to the Director Operations Project Management Office and has no direct reports
  • We are looking for you to travel up up to 40% internationally/domestically, including overnight stays
  • Flexible schedule depending on amount of travel
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk
  • Develop project management plans, project documentation, work breakdown structures, project schedules, integrated master schedules, financial reports, and risk management documentation
  • Prepare charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams to help analyze and presenting information
  • Review risk and risk mitigation activities of the project and propose budgets for the same
  • Coordinate schedules to facilitate completion of task and contract deliverables, briefings/presentations, and project reviews
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables
  • Work with all areas affected by the project
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and administrative requirements
  • Manage project scope and goals, and organize, coordinate, and implement the project
  • Provide daily project direction, ensuring quality standards, project tracking, and analysis of assigned aspects of assigned project
  • Provide technical guidance to project team
  • Produce program-level status reports working with Program Manager North American Operations

What it takes:

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) with 7+ years of relevant experience in Project Management or Associate's Degree with 9+ years of relevant experience or 11+ years of relevant experience in Project Management
  • Required Travel â?? 40%, can fluctuate depending on Project load
  • Knowledge of project management principles, tools, and concepts; proficient in managing the project management life cycle
  • Working knowledge of computer software (MS Office, MS Teams, MS Project)

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess:

  • Experience in Lean Methodology
  • Related Project Management experience within Manufacturing

Working Environment and Physical Efforts:

Work is typically performed in an office setting. You are required to sit for extended periods of time, and talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. Up to 40% travel requirements (domestic/international) that require overnight stays. You are frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with multiple files and forms and while working on the computer. You are occasionally required to move about the office. You must use proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. You must occasionally lift and move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
