A Brief Summary of This Position:
The position primarily configures, manages, and optimizes Microsoft SharePoint services for the Corporate IT to deliver web collaboration solutions for Valmont's global Enterprise. Additionally, this position works directly with end users, functional communities, and IT Operations staff in the day-to-day requirements of developing, implementing, and running Valmont's Microsoft SharePoint platforms. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Day to Day support of the SharePoint functionalities and resolve customer issues and recommended solutions for improvements
Management and design of site collections, content databases, implement web part pages and site features, security policies, user account management, provisioning new sites, and problem resolution
Work effectively with end-users issues/problem tickets and provide resolutions
Troubleshoot issues and provide proactive support on each component that relates to a SharePoint farm deployment
Maintenance and Administration of SharePoint Services, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis and provide technical guidance to development and support team
Installation, Configuration and maintenance of SharePoint 2013 Server (Web Front End (WFE), Application Server)
Developing Web Applications and Service Applications
Designing WFE, APP, Database servers and Network Load Balancing on Windows Servers
Configuration of Application Services in APP server
Configuration of USER Profile Service; User Profile Sync with Active Directory
Configuration of SEARCH Service
Ability to provide 24x7 production support with rotating On-Call duties/ After-hours support
Participate in the development, implementation and routine test of backup/restore and disaster recovery procedures
Other Important Details about the Role:
Experience working with Database, Windows, Network and Security teams
Contribute to discussions on ways to improve functionality and usability
Suggest iterative steps to continuously improve and optimize Web Services systems and processes.
This position reports into the Web Services Manager.
This role requires minimal (10%) travel (internationally/domestically), including overnight stays.
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Preferred Bachelor's with 6+ years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 8+ years relevant experience or 10+ years relevant experience
Five to seven years of working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, SQL Server, and SharePoint
Working knowledge of Active Directory in a global multi-domain Enterprise
Expertise in SharePoint 2013/2016 and related architecture
Working knowledge of SharePoint Office 360
Working knowledge of migrating Content Databases using PowerShell; Developing PowerShell scripts for Site Backup/Restores, Library Files Backup/Restore etc.
Building and migrating SharePoint 2013 Server Farm to SharePoint 2016 Server Farm
Building Disaster Recovery (DR) Server farms
Design and Development of SharePoint 2016 Server Farm Topology
Building Dev, QA and PROD SP 2016 Server Farm Environment
Developing PowerShell Scripts to update Site Pages visuals to SP 2016
Configuring SP Enterprise Feature such as MS Office Web Apps 2016, Excel Service, Search Service, User Profile Service, Managed Metadata Service, Performance Point Service
Configuring SP 2016 Web Application on Claims Authentication
Configuring SP App Store and Setup
Ability to provide recommendations based on internal hosting policies with architecture, performance, and cost effective solutions

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Microsoft certification in SharePoint (Managing Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016, SharePoint Microsoft 2013)
Demonstrated experience solving business solutions with web collaboration or similar technologies
Working knowledge of SharePoint Server document management, workflows, and Office Web integration
Working knowledge of Control Point and DaVinci utilities (or similar tools)
Demonstrated experience with SharePoint Designer
Demonstrated experience migrating Windows SharePoint Server instances or MOSS farm content
Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
Work is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. No travel requirements for this position. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
