Job Summary


This position collaborates internally with stakeholders to coordinate RFP/RFI response to state, city, county BB grant and expansion programs.


Additionally, the position will work to identify and target pro-active programs within the Region that advance and accelerate profitable broadband deployment.


This individual will help create and develop comprehensive State and market level GTM plans that cover both an urban and rural strategy. The Program manager will identify, monitor and respond to regional, state, county, and city level programs that expand broadband footprint through public partnerships.

Job Description


  • Builds and maintains a funnel of new expansion opportunities across a regional territory.
  • Interfaces with company government & regulatory, planning, marketing, and decision support on business case modeling and the profitable deployment of capital funds.
  • Works with public state, county and city leaders across Region to create service solutions.
  • Owns communication & project management throughout the decision & development life cycle.
  • Key stakeholder in ROI of current rural investment programs including CAFII
  • Demonstrates action-oriented leadership when faced with a project roadblock
  • Develop integrated program plans that accounts for multiple project deliverables, and proactively identify critical impediments to meeting project objectives
  • Conduct regular team meetings to enhance teamwork and communicate process and procedure updates
  • Coordinate projects and programs across multiple business groups to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
  • Understand, evaluate, and balance CenturyLink's ability to deliver new products, services and technologies within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
  • Effectively communicate program status, risks and issues to leadership, and present options and recommendations for resolution
  • Manage customer communications on behalf of senior leadership
  • Ensures the successful hand-offs at project completion while maintaining external communication on an on-going basis.



  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Business, Communications, or similar) or equivalent work experience
  • M.B.A Preferred
  • Experience working with single family and multi-family home developers and the construction industry.
  • Understanding of residential broadband, voice and video service solutions.
  • Five to seven years advanced project management experience
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to identify trends, assess knowledge gaps and communicate recommendations for improvement to a leadership audience
  • Strength in creating and delivering consulting-level project plans and presentations
  • Action-oriented and creative thinker who can focus on detailed implementation and execution
  • Outstanding organization and time management skills; a proven ability to manage multiple initiatives independently in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to effectively operate within diverse and cross-functional groups Ability to travel frequently throughout a multi-state territory.
