Description:  The Coordinator, Federal Technical Projects is responsible for management of Centurylink Government Services (CGS) company fleet vehicles, test equipment and tools.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track and report on current inventory of all GSD tools and test equipment.
  • Coordinate and track the timely repair and/or calibration of all test equipment and tools.
  • Order new and replacement equipment as requested by various GSD management teams.
  • Create inventory reports for program/project managers and engineers as requested.
  • Conduct semi-annual inventory of all Government Services Division (GSD) tools and test equipment.
  • Issue and receive returns of tools and test equipment to GSD staff based on current policy.
  • Ensure all tools and test equipment is maintained is a usable status.
  • Facilitate the ordering of capital equipment from internal organizations using Systems and Products (SAP) portal and graphical user interface (SAP GUI).
  • Place orders as requested for overhead expense items via I-Procurement and/or corporate credit card account as applicable; proactively keep requestor informed of order status.
  • Post material receipts in Oracle I-Procurement to update procurement records.
  • Primary point of contact for GSD fleet vehicles.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, including regularly scheduled maintenance at repair shops (e.g., oil changes) as well as annual state safety and emissions testing and licensing requirements.
  • Issue fleet vehicle keys to GSD team members based on current policy.
  • Coordinate with corporate fleet points of contact to assure the timely transfer of new vehicles to/from GSD.
  • Order new fleet vehicles as requested/authorized by GSD management.
  • Process the retirement and salvage of vehicles deemed eligible for retirement from the fleet.
  • Coordinate Defensive Driver Training for GSD new hires and refresher training for existing staff.
  • Support Engineering, Project Management and Logistics Management as requested.
  • Coordinate and track GSD Capital FEV budget

 

Skills:

 

  • Strong people skills and able to work in a group/team environment
  • Good written and verbal skills required to gather/relay information on a regular basis.
  • Able to work at computer for extended periods while working on reports, schedules, and spreadsheets.

 

Education and Experience:

  • At least three years relevant work experience 
  • Proficient level of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (EXCEL, OUTLOOK & WORD)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
