The role of the Credit Consultant is to collect revenues owed from residential customers and to assist with basic billing inquires. The only way we can do this is by providing superior customer service and building a customer loyalty base.

We collect on an account when the customer gets a past due notice and we consult with that customer, selling them on the importance of paying their bill. Conflict resolution and negotiation skills will be utilized on a daily basis.
 

  • Receive inbound calls from CenturyLink residential customers for collections, payment arrangements, and billing inquiry

  • Meet established collection objectives monthly

  • Use various computer systems/screens simultaneously

  • Build and maintain strong customer rapport

  • Consult, multi-task, and problem solve with the customer

  • Perfect the customer experience by providing excellent service on every call

 

Basic Qualifications:
 

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) preferred

  • Multi-tasking and problem solving skills

  • Good listening skills are necessary for consultative collections and to negotiate solutions that benefit the company and the customer

  • Computer literacy

  • Outstanding customer service skills


Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Previous collections and/or call center experience

 

Work Environment:
 

  • Inbound and outbound customer service center - structured and fast paced

  • The center is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Shifts can vary from day to day and are based on seniority and needs of the business

  • Will utilize headset/telephone and computer for extended periods of time

  • Position requires high volume of contact with customers
