The Department of Pathology and Microbiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-leading faculty position in the division of Anatomic Pathology with board certification/eligibility in neuropathology. The successful candidate should be board-certified/eligible in neuropathology and will have the opportunity to participate in other services such as molecular diagnostics, surgical pathology subspecialties, or autopsy. Educational opportunities include teaching within the medical school and within an ACGME accredited AP/CP residency program. Candidates interested in developing a funded research program are encouraged to apply. Opportunities for developing clinical/translational research projects are also available.
The successful candidate will hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree, and they should be certified or eligible for certification in AP or AP/CP by the American Board of Pathology. Fellowship training in neuropathology is required. The department is a rapidly growing academic subspeciality-based practice with highly competitive compensation and opportunities for academic growth and administrative responsibilities.
