Position Summary | The Breast Surgical Oncology Postdoctoral Research Associate will play a pivotal role in breast surgical oncology research, advancing both clinical and translational research efforts in idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM), triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), and breast cancer brain metastasis. This position encompasses laboratory work focused on understanding the mechanisms of disease and exploring novel therapeutic approaches, including drug repurposing and resistance pathways. The successful candidate will also manage clinical data, IRB submissions, analyze outcomes within breast cancer databases, and contribute to manuscript and presentation development. This role is ideal for a motivated researcher interested in bridging basic science with clinical impact, aiming to address pressing challenges in breast cancer care, particularly for underserved and minority populations who suffer from worse breast cancer outcomes. |

Chemical hazard exposure will be limited to those agents commonly found in a basic science laboratory, for which training and MSDS information will be provided in detail prior to potential exposure. Wearing PPE may be required in some clinical environments to collect blood and/or body fluid samples from human subjects. This position offers the opportunity to participate in basic science research involving animals models including (but not limited to) swine and rodents. |
