Position Qualification

Position Summary

Position Overview: The laboratory of Dr. Jennifer Bailey-Lundberg in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position focused on tumor ablation in combination with immunotherapy. This NIH and DoD-funded project aims to elucidate the mechanisms by which ablation therapies influence the tumor microenvironment and immune response in pancreatic cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead experiments investigating the tumor microenvironment and immune response alterations induced by ablation therapies.
Utilize preclinical models and analyze human samples from ongoing clinical trials.
Engage in the training and mentoring of graduate students.
Participate in lab meetings and contribute to a collaborative research environment.

Qualifications:

PhD in molecular biology, immunology, genetics, cell biology, or a related field (obtained within the past three years).
Strong background in experimental design and execution related to immunology or cancer research.
Highly motivated, independent, and hypothesis-driven scientist.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
