Position Summary
Interface with faculty, research personnel. administrators and staff to conduct full range of activities to prepare and submit funding proposals (grants, contracts, subcontracts, etc.) to various federal, non-federal, and state agencies to include foundations and industry organizations.

Efficiently develops budgets and tracks funding in compliance with UNMC sponsor standards.
Advises faculty and staff on post award financial management.

1. This position requires excellent organization and communication skills,
ability to work under pressure situations and deadlines, and have the ability to work with
challenging individuals and properly handle sensitive situations.
2. Ability to research and located agencies funding guidelines and instructions. Must be able to interpret, and explain regulations, policies and procedures related to grant and contract submission and administration.
3. Proficiency in spreadsheets is essential
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree

Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
Preferred Experience:
Accounting experience, which includes analysis and monitoring of sponsored
projects, effort reports and related payroll funding changes, and financial reporting

Prior experience in research laboratory management would be beneficial.
