Position Summary |
POSTING FOR UNMC EMPLOYEES ONLY This position plays a key role in achieving the goals of the Niedfelt Nursing Research Center (NNRC) through the direction and implementation of activities that promote research growth and integrity at the College of Nursing (CON). Reporting directly to the Associate Dean for Research, this role is essential to supporting the CON’s position as a nationally recognized research institution. Key responsibilities include identifying and pursuing strategic development opportunities, overseeing the marketing and communication plan for research at CON, developing and administering compliance procedures that protect the CON from risk of improper use of resources, and managing requests for use of new technology in research and other sponsored activities. |

Working knowledge of related technological resources/software to include MS Office suite. Demonstrated style of participatory leadership that fosters a climate of respect and collegiality to include competency regarding conflict management, supervision, mentoring, and team building. Proficiency in analytic reasoning to formulate and evaluate projects, budgets, and administrative policies and processes. Proven ability to manage and follow through on multiple priorities. Self-starter with high standards for personal and professional excellence, achievement, honesty, and integrity. Ability to adapt well to change and seek continuous learning and improvement. Ability to lead and assist personnel on a variety of complex assignments, to include fiscal and compliance monitoring. Well-developed written and oral communication skills, accurate decision-making ability to perform calmly within a limited timeframe. In-depth knowledge of eRA Commons (e.g., Human Subjects System and RPPR modules). Ability to cooperate with a diverse work group of faculty and professional and office service staff. |
