Position Summary | The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position. Our research focuses on developing advanced computational toolkits for radiation biology and medical physics applications in radiotherapy. Our group’s research topics include, but are not limited to:
The Postdoctoral Research Scientist will join a dynamic team of medical physicists and clinicians, participating in unique opportunities to develop and apply advanced computational tools for scientific discovery and to make a direct impact on patient care in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be offered: · Comprehensive training in radiation transport simulation, especially computational radiation biology and medical physics, to build and optimize multiscale computational toolkits for radiotherapy. · Opportunities to work on some intrinsic challenges in applying multiscale simulation in medical domain, including digital twins. · Strong collaboration with researchers and clinicians from diverse fields across different departments/institutions in University of Nebraska Medical Center and collaborating institutes. · Competitive salary, excellent health plan and multiple other benefits. · Visa support for qualified international candidate.
