Position Summary | This position will study the impacts of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) exposure on reproductive health and fertility across multiple generations of mice. The work involves the use in vivo rodent models and in vitro approaches using cells lines and the isolation and culturing of primary ovarian cells. The successful candidate will become proficient with breeding, handling, and dosing mice. This position will be involved in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of experimental data, presentation of data at regional and national meetings, manuscript preparation, and grant writing. |

Required Qualifications | Candidate must possess a PhD degree and have expertise in cell culture and animal work (preferably with experience in breeding, ip/iv injections, oral gavage, and blood collections) as well as a variety of laboratory assays including western blot analysis, molecular biology techniques, immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, and other biochemical assessments. Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently and as a part of a team, working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism, ImageJ, and statistical analysis software is required. |
