Position Summary |
POSTING FOR UNMC EMPLOYEES ONLY Perform skilled maintenance on utility mechanical equipment, structures, and systems. including inspection, testing, monitoring, maintenance, repair, non-code welding, cutting, brazing, adjustment, and alignment of plant and distribution equipment such as piping, valves, boilers, boiler auxiliaries, emergency generators, generator auxiliaries, refrigeration and heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, insulation, refractory, painting and protective coatings, and rigging. Performs station machine work by use of machine shop and portable field machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, keyway cutters, flange facers, and other equipment. Operate overhead and mobile lifting equipment. This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and proper operation of all equipment associated with utility plant and distribution system serving the UNMC/Neb Med campus. |
