Vaccination Requirement | The University of Nebraska Medicine Center (UNMC) requires COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, staff, and faculty. All employees must be fully vaccinated unless they have requested and been approved for an exemption based on a recognized medical reason, a sincerely held religious belief, or a pre-approved, 100% remote work agreement. Fully vaccinated means having received one dose of a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (Moderna and Pfizer). Position Summary | POSTING FOR UNMC EMPLOYEES ONLY Ensures that all clinical services scheduled at Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) have appropriate demographics and insurance updated in EPIC. Ensures that insurance accounts are built accurately and that all clinical services are properly authorized. Verifies eligibility, pre-determination and pre-authorization requirements for all clinical services at MMI. Additionally, works with providers to ensure completion of all authorization paperwork as well as identifying trends in patient service needs and communicate these clinical needs to directors. |

Must be able to interface in a professional manner with individuals at all levels. Strong customer focus skills essential. Ability to communicate with people in a supportive capacity, and must be able to identify & triage health care needs. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Third Party Insurance billing protocols and pre-authorization guidelines. Familiarity with medical billing such as CPT , HCPCS, ICD9 coding. Ability to handle confidential matters discreetly. |
