Vaccination Requirement

The University of Nebraska Medicine Center (UNMC) requires COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, staff, and faculty. All employees must be fully vaccinated unless they have requested and been approved for an exemption based on a recognized medical reason, a sincerely held religious belief, or a pre-approved, 100% remote work agreement. Fully vaccinated means having received one dose of a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (Moderna and Pfizer).

As a prospective and/or a new employee at UNMC, you will be/are required to comply with the UNMC’s vaccination protocol. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers will have five (5) days from the date of hire to provide proof of partial or full vaccination or to request a medical or religious exemption. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with proof of partial vaccination may have up to thirty-five (35) days from the hire date to be in full compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers who receive a denial of a request for medical or religious exemption will be given five (5) business days from exemption denial notification date to provide proof of compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with no approved exemption who fail to comply with this policy will be separated.

Position Summary
This position will lead efforts to recruit for, develop, launch, and improve the quality of a preceptor training program. The position will work to alleviate gaps in the knowledge and skills of preceptors across the region through concentrated work effort on the structure, content, delivery, and oversight of the Preceptor Connect. Work closely with project team members to build relationships, share information, and create an overall plan to alleviate preceptor stress.

• Ability to lead, as well as serve on, a diverse team of professionals for specific projects is essential.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required.
• Must have the ability to tactfully assist and/or work with internal and external partners.
• Ability to appropriately apply policies and procedures.
• Must be able to travel to and work from off campus sites occasionally and to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
• Ability to manage high stakes, high pressure, time sensitive projects.
• Excellent active listening skills.
• Current knowledge of both clinical nursing practice and educational theory.

Preferred Education: Doctoral degree
