Position Summary | Postdoctoral Research Associate Advertisement - The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, University of Nebraska Medical Center (Omaha), is seeking postdoctoral research associates to join the Pulmonary Research Group. Areas of research involve the pathophysiology of lung disease with an emphasis on chronic and inflammatory lung diseases such as cystic fibrosis and COPD. Respiratory pathogen infections in the context of environmental and occupational exposures are existing focus areas. Using pharmacological and genetic approaches, studies are carried out in animal and cell culture models. Successful candidates will be involved in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data, presentation of data at national meetings, manuscript preparation, grant writing, and collaboration with faculty in ongoing and planned research. We provide mentor-based training with experienced, funded, research faculty, up to 3 years of NIH-level postdoctoral stipend, and health insurance coverage. U.S. Citizenship or a noncitizen national of the United States (or permanent resident) preferred. Candidates must have completed doctoral degree requirements prior to appointment to this fellowship.
