Position Summary

Academic Pediatric Dermatology
The new Department of Dermatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center
(UNMC) in Omaha, NE, together with the Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, is seeking academic Pediatric Dermatologists who are passionate about building a new academic department. Children’s Hospital & Medical Center is a vibrant, free-standing pediatric teaching hospital and Nebraska’s only full service pediatric specialty health care center focused on extraordinary clinical care, education, clinical and outcomes research, and advocacy. The hospital is embarking on transformational programmatic and physical growth to address our local, regional, national and global patient care. The hospital has a Level IV Regional NICU, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, Specialized Clinical Pediatric Services, and 24/7 Pediatric Intensivists.
The successful candidate will be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who is board certified/board eligible in dermatology and pediatric dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. He/she will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent patient care within a complex, pediatric tertiary care medical center. We seek individuals with strong emotional and social intelligence and a demonstrated ability to connect with others in a meaningful way at all levels of the organization and university. A generous compensation package with rank and salary commensurate with experience will be offered.
