Position Summary | The Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience (PEN) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center invites applications for a tenure leading position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank. We particularly seek individuals with expertise in genetic epidemiology, including statistical genetics, bioinformatics, and omics research, to integrate data at the genetic, neural, and behavioral levels. Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in biostatistics and/or epidemiology, and are expected to have publications and interest in the identification of novel risking factors, therapeutic targets, and biomarkers for age-related neurological disorders. Departmental research focuses mainly on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, HIV-1 associated neurocognitive disorders, and multiple sclerosis. Successful applicants will be expected to develop collaborative research with PEN faculty.
