Description
Research projects will involve studies in B-cell malignancies (e.g., chronic lymphocytic leukemia; CLL) including disease biology, tumor microenvironment (TME) interactions, immune (dys)function as well as pre-clinical evaluation of novel targeted therapies such as novel small molecule inhibitors targeting B-cell specific kinases and the bromodomain and extra-terminal (BET) family proteins. Pre-clinical evaluations of these novel therapeutics in primary cells, cell lines and/or mouse models will include evaluating their therapeutic benefits, their ability to modulate TME interactions and immune function in CLL, and potential resistance mechanism.
