Academic Neurologist sought to join the Department of Neurological Sciences Faculty at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) Program to enhance our regional Stroke Program and inpatient/outpatient Neurovascular care. The candidate must be BC/BE with fellowship training in Vascular Neurology. This faculty member would participate in inpatient/outpatient clinical programs, including the inpatient stroke service and assist in the development of a Tele-Stroke Program. Inpatient and outpatient clinical activities are supported by advance practice providers. The candidate will participate in teaching opportunities with rotating Neurology Residents/medical students and in research trials in a supportive academic, hospital, and community environment. The Nebraska Stroke Center has been certified by the Joint Commission since 2005, most recently received it's Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification in November 2017 and provides outstanding stroke care with a multidisciplinary team that includes Emergency Room Physicians, Neuro-radiologists, three Vascular Neurologists, two Endovascular Neurosurgeons, a dedicated Clinical Neurosciences floor and ICU, and case managers. Neurology Residents and other Neurology faculty will support this faculty member in inpatient care and after hours call coverage.
