Job Description

Applicants interested in providing collaborative care, conducting research, and teaching internal medicine residents are encouraged to apply for this Medical Family Therapy Behavioral Medicine Fellow in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The fellowship will provide therapy and brief psychosocial interventions for patients and their families, will supervise masters level family therapy students, teach medical residents on psychosocial components of patient care, and develop and conduct research projects. The Fellow will gain experience collaborating with residents, physicians, medical students, social workers, pharmacists, and diabetes educators. Clinical supervision will be provided by an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. The Fellowship provides a unique opportunity to develop a skill set that is applicable to a career in behavioral medicine. The Fellow functions as a full-time behavioral medicine clinician-educator for the duration of the 12 month internship. The position will begin in July 2018.
