Job Skills / Requirements

TEAM is looking for an energetic, dynamic leader with proven experience in the building service (janitorial) industry. The product manager will be an integral member of the Product Management team whose goal is to represent the needs and opportunities for the building service (janitorial) industry.

In this role, the product manager is responsible for identifying building service (janitorial) industry needs and problems that can be solved through technology products and solutions. As an industry advocate, the product manager will articulate and craft a value proposition that represents the vision, goals and roadmap to get a solution in the hands of our Customers.

Specifically, the Industry Owner will:

  • Conduct market research to understand industry challenges
  • Identify needs and opportunities within the building service (janitorial) industry for products and solutions
  • Engage customers, industry experts and internal stakeholders about the product vision, goals and roadmap
  • Define and represent the business value proposition including what the goals and objectives are and why they are so important to the industry
  • Drive product strategy through industry expertise, leadership and customer advocacy
  • Manage the product lifecycle from conception through launch
  • Collaborate and interact with departments as needed to support the product lifecycle
  • Provide direction around priority around the sequence of work
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new products
  • Identify and analyze potential partner relationships
  • Communicate status updates, action plans and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders
  • Be accountable for product results

    Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5-years work experience in the building service (janitorial) industry.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of workforce management and accounting solutions, business and product strategy, and business technology terminology.
  • Capability of understanding, interpreting and executing business plans, as well as delivering insights to stakeholder audiences, including high-value customers and senior leadership.
  • Ability to respond effectively to market direction, customer needs and competitors' positions.
  • Ability to capitalize on opportunities through market research plans and on-going programs.
  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and conflict-resolutions abilities.
  • Strong collaboration and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new product flows and software technologies.
  • Ability to travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America, up to 50 percent of the time.

    Qualifications Preferred:
  • Experience with top-tier enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a strong plus.
  • Agile scrum process experience preferred.
  • Product management lifecycle training preferred, e.g. Pragmatic Marketing

    Bachelors Degree
    Some college or equivalent work experience
