Database and Business Intelligence Analyst - Hybrid


Streck is recruiting for a Junior Database & BI Analyst to join our Information Technology department.  This position is responsible for providing support, testing, and problem resolution duties relative to  Streck Business Intelligence environments as well as Streck’s Microsoft SQL Server database environment.

The Primary Responsibilities include:  (Preferred Experience)

  • Interact with the Business, IT, and development teams to develop Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Support the application development team with database changes, queries, and reports.

Requirements include:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to deliver solutions with a customer service mentality
  • Proven ability to take initiative to learn new skills and apply skills to our environment
  • Position qualifications/experience:
    • Exposure to business intelligence projects
    • 2 years experience in database administration duties with 3-5 years preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science or equivalent experience
  • Experience to build or modify ETL packages using SQL Server Integration Services according to requirements specified by source and target system administrators, and in collaboration with Business Intelligence Engineers.
  • Experience to build or modify SQL Server Reporting Services reports using a data warehouse as a source.


Preferred Skills:

  • SQL Server Management Studio, Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services
  • PowerBI, SSRS or Other Report Development Tool
  • Database Concepts including TSQL
  • Source Control (TFS, GIT, DevOps)

Desired Skills:

  • Microsoft SSIS
