Streck is recruiting for a Research and Development Associate Scientist in the Application Development area. This position is responsible for performing research and development experiments for projects and products in collaboration with others. These positions regularly exercise technical discretion in the execution and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project goals. Projects may require familiarity with current scientific literature together with the capability to select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions within generally defined practices and policies. Contacts are primarily with direct managers and others in section or group for guidance and regarding status of work projects. May interact with other sections/divisions on routine matters. 

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Execute research and development in accordance with the FDA mandated design control requirements on projects that include process and product development, validation and verification, and improvement opportunities for new and existing products.  Projects may require familiarity with current scientific literature together with the capability to select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions within generally defined practices and policies.
  • Execute experiments as designed by following scientific protocol, recording information about results and other steps as defined by leadership.
  • Collect, record, analyze and interpret experimental data and discuss results and interpretation of data with colleagues and management. 
  • Prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses.

 

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline is required.  Advanced degree preferred.  Relevant laboratory experience (one to three years) and performance may be substituted for an upper level degree or years of experience
  • Ability?to critically analyze and interpret data is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with peers and colleagues of differing backgrounds
