Streck is recruiting for a Lab Instrument Technician to join our Quality Control area. This position is responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of hematology and chemistry instruments, reporting instrument performance deviations to Instrument Supervisor and other duties as assigned.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Perform instrument startup / shutdown, and routine maintenance on hematology and chemistry instruments.
  • Ensure all appropriate documentation, including maintenance, instrument start up / shutdown, and calibration logs, are accurate, legible and completed in a timely manner.
  • Track analyze and report on instrumentation parameter trends.
  • Maintain the QC lab in a clean and safe working condition.
  • Perform reagent changes and participate in whole blood calibrations
  • Maintain laboratory consumable supplies

 

Requirements include:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.  A technical degree (2 -4 years) in science, electronics, mechanics or other related field preferred.
  • Must be dependable, well organized and able to communicate effectively and efficiently, both orally and in writing.
