Under general supervision of Senior Manager, IT Testing Engineering the Testing Manager performs management functions to plan, lead, organize, and control all aspects of quality in people, processes, and technology. The Testing Manager / Test Practice Leader will oversee the technical application design, implementation & deployment for the assigned QA automation efforts. Ensures the test team and project teams adhere to writing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and procedures, as well as creates test data and stores it in the test repository. Works closely with project teams to implement error-free software and prepares software documentation to train end users. The Testing Manager role calls for a positive and proactive approach, ability to work to very high standards, and challenging timelines. Achieves financial objectives by providing input on the annual QA budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Demonstrates passion for the business and pays great attention to detail.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics):
Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent, or Management Information Systems is required. Six to Eight years' experience testing front-end and back-end IT solutions and two to three years' experience as a project manager or project leader managing workforce. Previous experience with test automation and agile development testing practices required. Previous experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable. ISTQB or other software testing certifications are required. Agile certifications such as CSM or SAFe are highly desired.
