Summary:
OPPD is seeking a Lead Engineer who is both an individual technical contributor and an assistant to the Manager in directing and monitoring the work, training, and quality of results of the Substation Engineering design team Structural/CivilElectrical staff in support of departmental engineering, design, specifications, drawings, work orders and operational support for the construction or modification of the District's substations. Support the manager with motivation, coaching and mentoring of departmental personnel, evaluating their performance and identify strengths and weakness within core and technical competencies while developing activities, training opportunities, goals and objectives to improve them. Work through close collaboration with Substation Engineering Manager and Principal Engineer for all design processes and execution of engineering assignments. Performance is measured by the safety, reliability, operability, regulatory compliance, project performance and the engagement of the design team.
